WARTA Posag is an individual life and dowry insurance of Life Insurance Company Warta S.A. (hereinafter: Warta TUnŻ S.A.).

The insurance coverage under the WARTA Posag insurance is granted by TUnŻ WARTA S.A. All the product details and the full list of exclusions of the insurer’s responsibility are included in the General Terms and Conditions of WARTA Posag insurance available at www.citihandlowy.pl, and at Bank Branches.

The WARTA Posag insurance contract is concluded between the Client and the insurer through the Bank.

The Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. with its registered office in Warsaw at 16 Senatorska Street acts as an insurance agent performing agency activities for the following insurance companies:

  • MetLife Europe Insurance Designated Activity Company,
  • Warta S.A. Insurance and Reinsurance Company,
  • Warta S.A. Insurance and Reinsurance Company,
  • Europ Assistance SA - branch in Ireland,
  • Nationale-Nederlanden Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie Spółka Akcyjna,
  • Aegon Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie Spółka Akcyjna.

The bank is entered under the number 11120807/A in the register of insurance agents kept by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.

The customer can check the Bank's entry in this register via the website: https://rpu.knf.gov.pl/.

In the insurance sales and service processes, the Bank applies the principles set out in the "Recommendation of good practices on the Polish bancassurance market in the field of investment and savings insurance" issued by the Polish Bank Association and the Polish Insurance Association.

Funds paid as a premium under the WARTA Posag insurance are not a bank deposit, they are not guaranteed by the State Treasury or any government institutions, with the proviso that receivables arising from the life insurance contract are guaranteed by the Insurance Guarantee Fund in the event of the Insurer's insolvency in the amount of 50% of the receivables of persons entitled under the insurance contract, but up to the amount not greater than the equivalent in PLN – EUR 30 000.00. WARTA Posag insurance is not a liability or guaranteed by the Bank or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries. Achieving profits is not guaranteed by both the Bank and the insurer.

The Bank carries out the processing of your personal data first of all to initiate activities to enter into an agreement between you and the Bank, including marketing involving the Bank’s products and services and similar products and services offered by the Bank’s partners, and presentation of an offer, i.e. in the Bank’s or Bank’s partners’ legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR). You are entitled to: access your personal data, rectify them, erase them, restrict their processing, transfer your data and object to their processing.   • Rescission and Termination of the Insurance Contract

    The Client may rescind the insurance agreement within 30 days from the conclusion of the agreement, and may terminate the insurance agreement during its entire term.

  • Enquiries and complaints

    Claims and grievances, including complaints, may be submitted by the policyholder, the insured person or the beneficiary under the insurance agreement to TUnŻ „WARTA” S.A.:

    • in writing to the following address: PO box 1013, 00-950 Warsaw 1;
    • electronically via a form on www.warta.pl/reklamacje;
    • by telephone at 502 308 308;
    • at every TUnŻ “WARTA” S.A. branch, with a letter delivered in person or orally for the record;
    • to the agent in the following forms:
    • in writing – when submitted in person at a Branch of the Bank during the Branch’s business hours, or sent to the following address: Citi Handlowy, Departament Obsługi Reklamacji i Zapytań Klientów (Complaint and Customers’ Enquiries Service Unit), ul. Goleszowska 6, 01-249 Warszawa (Warsaw);
    • orally – by telephone or in person for the record during the Client’s visit to a Branch of the Bank,
    • electronically – to the Bank’s email address, via Citibank Online after logging in, in the tab “Contact us”. Current contact details for submitting complaints are available on the Bank’s website – www.citibank.pl. The details how to file claims, grievances and complaints, and how they are examined, are available at the website at www.warta.pl. TUnŻ „WARTA” S.A. is subject to supervision exercised by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Notwithstanding the provisions of these GIT&C, the insurer will comply with its disclosure obligations as provided for in the currently applicable legislation.
  • Benefit payment

    If there has occurred an event covered by the insurance policy, the beneficiary shall submit an application for benefit payment directly to the Insurer. To that end, the beneficiary will fill up the form provided by the consultant or the Insurer – at any branch or online at www.warta.pl.

    An application for payment of the benefit will be deemed filed on the date the application is received by the insurer. For detailed rules on submitting a claim for benefit payment and on benefit payment to be made by the Policyholder go to the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance or to the website www.warta.pl.
