A home equity loan is a loan granted by the Bank for a long period of time for any purpose not related to business activity.

A home equity loan is characterized by the fact that it is secured by a mortgage on property to which the borrower has a title.

The installments during the fixed interest period may be higher than if they had been calculated on the basis of the current index used to calculate the variable interest rate.
