“We are proud to join the Warmia Run Challenge 2023 as the official sponsor and committed partner. By promoting an active lifestyle and supporting the development of Olsztyn and the region for 20 years now, we participate in events that are important for the city. We offer young and ambitious people the prospect of working on advanced processes and projects and excellent career opportunities in Citi's global structures. This year, we announced a plan to employ another 100 people at Citi Solutions Center in Olsztyn,” says Iwona Dudzińska, Head of Citi Solutions Center Poland.

This year 100 participants representing Citi will take part as Live Well at Citi team. In the special rest zones in the runners’ village CitiVolunteers will cheer up the runners.

“We have been promoting an active lifestyle as part of the Live Well at Citi program for many years. We are a partner of the IRONMAN competitions in Poland, we organize regatta and ski competitions, and we take part in the half-marathon around Ukiel Lake in Olsztyn. In many sporting events, we take part side by side with people with disabilities and we are also a partner of the Polish Paralympic Committee to support the Paralympic movement in Poland. Through sports activities, we strengthen the values we consider our priority: equality, diversity and work-life balance,” says Maciej Kropidłowski, Vice President of Citi Handlowy.

The Citi Warmia Run Challenge is another initiative with Citi’s commitment in Olsztyn. The bank actively participates in the life of the region, e.g. by conducting extensive educational cooperation with the University of Warmia and Mazury. For many years now, Citi has been a partner of the "BabaFest" festival, which promotes the idea of supporting women that want to follow their ambitions in professional life. As a strategic partner of the 10th Most Popular Athletes of Warmia and Mazury ranking, we support efforts to change the social perception of disability and to promote an active lifestyle.

Katarzyna Majewska, Vice President of Citi Handlowy in charge of Operations & Technology: “The development of our organization in Olsztyn is closely correlated with the development of the city and the region. That is why we get involved in important events, in which our employees participate together with their relatives and friends, and customers of our banks. As a result, we can be closer to the city residents, who create a unique atmosphere of such struggles, both as participants and as fans. Today we invite you to our zone in the runners’ village, where we have prepared many attractions for competitors and their families.”

Active in 160 countries and jurisdictions, Citigroup hires in Poland more than 9000 employees. It chose Olsztyn as a seat of its clearing center in 2000. There has already been a Citi Solutions Center established in 2005, which forms, together with its equivalent in Warsaw, one of the most dynamic companies in the sector in Poland.
