Bank Handlowy’s Citi Mobile Customers Logged in 100,000 Times in July

In July 2012, customers of Citi Handlowy's mobile banking logged in to the system more than 100,000 times. The latest features, such as FotoKasa or Bump to Transfer, as well a change in the application interface were key reasons for the success.

Citi Mobile was first introduced in 2010. As part of the application, FotoKasa and Bump to Transfer were launched. The former enables users to make payments by scanning 2D codes. And now, payments with FotoKasa are available to customers of UPC, PGNiG, TP SA and PTK Centertel (the operator of Orange mobile network), which represents several million customers in total. Since the second quarter, payments with FotoKasa have been available in taxicabs of MPT, a Warsaw taxi company. See how easy it is to make payments with FotoKasa are shown in the video on Citi Handlowy's channel.

The Bump to Transfer solution has been designed in a "social" spirit. It enables its users to quickly transfer funds from an account of one customer of Citi Handlowy to an account of the other customer by "bumping" phones. The manners of using Bump to Transfer application are shown in the instructional film on Citi Handlowy's channel on YouTube.com.

Newsweek Weekly recognized the Citi Mobile banking service as one of the market's three best offerings ("2011 Newsweek's Friendly Bank" ranking). In the "Report on functionalities of mobile banking applications," Citi Handlowy was ranked among three best banks offering mobile applications for smartphones.
