Citi Handlowy with new #CitiSmile program for even 100 thousand customers
Citi Handlowy has decided to thank its clients who actively use credit cards and launched a unique loyalty program called #CitiSmile. This is the only such program on the Polish banking market, where customers receive a “thank you” from their Bank in the form of small, but carefully selected benefits, e.g. cinema tickets, coffee coupons, invitations to special events and other gifts. The bank wants the program to reach 100 thousand cardholders by the end of 2017. There is no need to register, provide personal data or collect points – customers are rewarded for simply using their credit cards.
- The Citi Smile Program has been created, on the one hand, to thank our customers for the fact that they are with us and, on the other hand, to reward them for using our credit card. The customers do not collect points, neither do they have to register for the program. It is enough that they actively use their credit cards during shopping. In return we reward them with small surprise gifts or invitations to special events, causing a smile on their faces. This is a unique program with which we are setting new market trends, just like years ago when Citibank introduced credit cards to the Polish market, explained Mateusz Oleksy, Head of Portfolio Management for Unsecured Assets at Citi Handlowy.
Citi Handlowy launched the program in June 2016 by inviting all customers to the screening of the Oscar-winning movie by Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu “The Revenant” during the inauguration of the Film Summer Capital. The Bank prepared for its guests a special zone with deck chairs and a photo box marked with the #CitiSmile slogan.
Now the program will be expanded and the number of activities and people covered by the program will increase. Starting from October to the end of the year as many as 4 thousand customers may get surprised by a short message telling them that one of their transactions is subject to cashback.
- As part of CitiSmile each month we invite active credit card users to the cinema or for a cup of coffee, we send small gifts and organize special events. Some more big events are ahead of us. In October, together with Douglas perfume and cosmetics shops, we are inviting our clients to undergo a metamorphosis, and in November we will be inviting them to take part in a big workout with Ewa Chodakowska, says Mateusz Oleksy.
Citi Handlowy plans to expand its program to reach over 100 thousand customers by the end of next year. The Bank is also launching a promotional campaign in social media and direct communication to cstomers about the advantages of the program.
Apart from CitiSmile the holders of credit cards issued by the Bank can also benefit from the Discount Program, offering up to 50% off in more than 4,800 points of sale all over Poland. That’s the first and the largest in terms of the number of partners and locations initiative of this type in Poland. Citi Handlowy customers can enjoy discounts all year round. Apart from regular discounts, the credit card holders have also access to special offers, the so-called “hot deals”.
