Changing the method of online transaction authorization for Business Accounts.


From February 14th, the method of authorizing payments by debit card for online purchases for Business Account holders will change. When authenticating online transactions with a card, you will be asked to enter one-time code from SMS sent to your phone and individual ePIN.

  1. When shopping online, select Card Payment. Enter your card details and tap next.
  2. A screen for authenticating the transaction will be displayed after providing card details.
  3. A text message with a one-time code will be sent to your phone.
  4. On the screen, fill in the required fields – your ePIN and code from the text message.
  5. If the data are correct, you will see confirmation of payment.

See the instructions below to set your ePIN:

  1. Log in to Citibank Online,
  2. Go to the My Profile tab,
  3. Click “Set/Change ePIN” and set your ePIN there.

The change of the authorization method applies to all payments for online purchases made with a debit card to the Business Account. Other online transactions - e.g. transfers, will be authorized using the current method - with a one-time SMS code, without the need to log into Citibank® Online.
