Current Report No. 8 of 21 March 2008 on the appointment of a managing person

Legal basis: § 5 section 1 item 22 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance on current and periodical information provided by issuers of securities dated 19 October 2005 (Journal of Laws of 2005, No. 209, item 1744).

Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. informs that on March 21, 2008 Mr. Witold Zieliński was appointed Head of the Finance Division – Chief Financial Officer, effective as of the date of approval from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. At the same time, he was appointed to assume the responsibilities of the Finance Division Head – Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2008.
Mr. Witold Zieliński has been a member of the Management Board of the Bank – Vice President of the Management Board of the Bank since January 1, 2006

Witold Zieliński graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Warsaw University. He started his career in 1980 in Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. in the Southern European Department in the Foreign Loans Division. In 1983 he held the position of Senior Counsel in the Ministry of Education. In the years 1986 – 1990 he worked as the Deputy Commercial Attaché for the Polish Commercial Office in New York. In 1991 Witold Zieliński joined Citibank Polska S.A. In the years 1992 - 1995 he was a Member of the Bank’s Management, then he worked for Citibank N.A.  London Branch, where he was responsible for the sales of global products and customer risk assessment in Southern and Eastern European markets.

In 1998 he was sent to Kiev, where he set up a representative office of Citibank NA, and then established a fully licensed bank – Citibank Ukraine, which he ran as President until the end of 2003. In the years 2004-2005 he was the President of the Management Board of Citibank Romania.

Mr. Witold Zieliński is not engaged in any activity that is competitive with the Bank and he is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.
