Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. announces that on 1 October 2008 the Supervisory Board of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. appointed Mr. Peter Rossiter as Vice President of the Management Board of the Bank for a 3-year term.
Mr. Peter Rossiter holds a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) designation from Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Additionally, he graduated from the Trinity College Dublin, with a II.1 Honors Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree.
He started his professional career in 1978 in KPMG in Dublin, Ireland, as Chartered Accountant. In the years 1982 – 1985 he worked for Citibank N.A. in Dublin as Relationship Manager. In the years 1985 – 1989 he was Senior Relationship Manager in Saudi American Bank (a Citigroup-managed affiliate at the time) in Saudi Arabia. Since 1989 Mr. Peter Rossiter continued working for Citigroup, holding a number of various positions in the Corporate Bank, in particular, in the years 1989 – 1992 he was Senior Relationship Manager in Citibank N.A. in London and in the years 1992 – 1993 he served as Industry Specialist in Citibank N.A. in Brussels.
In the years 1993 - 2004 Mr. Peter Rossiter held a number of risk related positions in Citibank N.A. in London, Istanbul and Brussels, including Senior Reviewer – Business Risk Review, Cluster Risk Manager – Turkey & Israel and Country Risk Coordinator – Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. At that time Mr. Peter Rossiter led or participated in over 30 reviews of credit risk portfolios and risk management processes, managed corporate credit and market risk through severe economic cycles in Turkey, including the 1998 Russia crisis, 1999 earthquake and 2001 currency crisis, and was responsible for co-ordinating country and cross border risk for over 70 countries, including limit setting, early warning and crisis management processes. Since 2004 Mr. Peter Rossiter has been Managing Director / Chief Risk Officer – in Russia and CIS, responsible for all aspects of Citi credit risk management in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
Mr. Peter Rossiter is not engaged in any activity that is competitive with Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. and he is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.
