How does it work?

Make fast and secure BLIK payments at online shops – without providing your payment card number.

  • On the website of the online shop, select BLIK payment.
  • In the Citi Mobile App, select BLIK to generate a one-time code (BLIK code can be generated on the login screen or upon logging in, in the Payments section).
  • Enter the code on the payment page of the online shop.
  • Then, you will be asked by your phone to confirm the payment.
  • Verify the payment details and approve the payment by entering your 6-digit Citi Mobile Token PIN.

You don’t have to have your wallet with you – you can pay conveniently at traditional shops that accept BLIK. All you need is a phone with the Citi Mobile App.

  • At the checkout, tell the salesperson you will pay by BLIK.

  • Done! The recipient will receive the money instantly.

NOTE! If you want to receive BLIK telephone transfers from others to your Citibank account, register your phone in the BLIK telephone transfers service. To do this:

  • After logging in to the Citi Mobile app, select the Payments menu, and then the BLIK settings option.
  • In the field Phone number registered in the BLIK transfers service, you will see the phone number registered in the Bank's system and its status in the BLIK transfer service.
  • Click on this field to proceed to registration.
  • Select the account at Citi Handlowy to which you want to receive BLIK transfers and confirm registration.
  • Ready! BLIK will receive phone transfers to its Citi Handlowy account.

REMEMBER that in order to receive BLIK telephone transfers, all you need to do is register your phone number in the BLIK transfer service. To receive the transfer, you do not need to perform any additional actions, including: clicking on the link, confirming receipt of the transfer or providing any data.

NOTE – Never give your BLIK code to persons whose identity you cannot verify, for example, by calling them and confirming their intentions. Check the payment details before confirming the payment – the amount and the name of the shop. Bear in mind that when you enter a BLIK code and confirm the transaction in the application, the money is transferred from your account to the recipient.

What do I need to use BLIK?

To use BLIK, you only need the Citi Mobile® application, enabled Citi Mobile® Token, Internet access and an active personal account or credit card.

How to activate BLIK?

BLIK does not require activation. All you need to do is install the latest version of the Citi Mobile® application.

Do I have to set an additional password to use BLIK?

Using BLIK payments and BLIK transfers does not require setting an additional password or PIN code.

You only need to log in to the application using a password or biometrics and activate the Citi Mobile® Token.

Is BLIK safe?

The BLIK payment service has a number of security features to accurately verify the person activating the application, and then the code assigned to the user, which is generated once. Moreover, BLIK as a service does not store any user data that could be stolen, intercepted and used in another transaction.

A friend / acquaintance contacts me with a request for urgent help in making a purchase. He asks for the BLIK code and transaction authorization. How should I behave?

We recommend that you should be especially careful. This is how scammers try to extort money after, for example, hacking into friends / family's social networks.

I have received a call from the "bank security department". The caller asked for the BLIK code. Should I give the caller the code?

No, never. The bank does not ask for the BLIK code. The bank does not ask you to withdraw money at ATMs. In case of any suspicious calls, hang up and contact CitiPhone on the phone number (+48) 22 692 24 84 yourself (the cost of the call is in line with your operator's tariff). Do this even if the call was made from the phone number provided on the bank's website.

Can the BLIK code be used several times?

No. The BLIK code is unique and is valid for 120 seconds from the moment it is displayed. If the validity period has expired, you can generate a new code to complete the transaction.

Are there any limits for payments, withdrawals and transfers to phones?

For transactions with the BLIK code, there is a maximum daily total amount limit. For transfers to a phone, the following applies:

  • maximum daily total amount limit,
  • minimum transfer amount,
  • maximum transfer amount.

Are there any fees associated with using BLIK?

All information regarding fees for using BLIK is included in the current Table of Fees and Commissions for Citibank Credit Cards and the Table of Fees and Commissions: Accounts and overdraft facility Credit Line for Individual Customers, which can be found on the Bank's website: https://www.citibank.pl/dokumenty/.

Where can I pay with BLIK?

You can pay with BLIK in stationary stores, service points and on the Internet. In online stores, from among the available payment methods, BLIK should be selected. Stationary stores and service points accepting BLIK payments are usually marked with a sticker with the BLIK logo. You can also ask the seller about the possibility of paying with the BLIK code.

At which ATMs can I withdraw cash using the BLIK code?

Withdrawals using the BLIK code can be made at ATMs with the BLIK logo.

What to do in case of theft of a phone with the BLIK service enabled?

If you lose your phone with the Citi Mobile® application installed, contact CitiPhone immediately at (+48) 22 692 24 84 (connection cost in accordance with your operator's tariff) in order to deregister from the BLIK transfer service and to enable the establishment of new login details for electronic banking.

Can I choose the account I want to use for payments or withdrawals with the BLIK code?

Yes. You can choose one of your credit cards or one of your personal accounts in PLN. You can make changes in the Citi Mobile® application using the BLIK settings option.

Can I choose the account from which I want to send the BLIK Transfer to phone?

Yes. You can choose one of your personal accounts in PLN or one of the credit cards. You can make your choice each time you order a transfer to a phone.

What does the registration for the BLIK Transfer to Telephone service mean?

Registration for the BLIK Transfer to Telephone service means linking the mobile phone number registered with the Bank to the selected Citi Handlowy account. Transfers in the BLIK transfer to a telephone service, ordered to a registered telephone number, will be posted on the indicated account until deregistration from the service or registration in another bank.

Sending transfers as part of the BLIK Transfer to telephone service does not require registration.

Can I change the account registered to receive BLIK Transfer to Telephone?

Yes. You can choose one of your personal accounts in PLN or one of the credit cards. You can make changes in the application using the BLIK settings option.

I receive BLIK transfers to an account in another bank. What do I have to do to receive them on an account at Citi Handlowy?

All you need to do is register for BLIK Transfer to Telephone service using the Citi Mobile® application. You can register using the BLIK settings option.

Registration for the BLIK Transfer to Telephone service at Citi Handlowy will result in automatic deregistration of the service at the existing bank.

What will happen if I want to make a BLIK transfer to a person who does not use this service?

In this case, it will not be possible to make the transfer. The transfer can only be made to a person who is registered in the BLIK Transfer to telephone service. If the telephone number to which you want to make a transfer is not registered in the Citi Mobile® application, an appropriate message will appear. You will also be able to send that person an SMS with an invitation to start using the BLIK Transfer to telephone service.

Will BLIK transactions be visible in the transaction history? Will I be able to generate a transaction confirmation?

Yes, all transactions made using BLIK service are visible in the transaction history in Citi Mobile®, Citibank Online and on the statement. It is also possible to generate BLIK transaction confirmations.
