Citi Handlowy is an integral part of the U.S. Citigroup, a leading global financial institution operating in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions.

High Capital:

Citi Handlowy has one of the highest capital ratios in the banking sector – the bank’s Tier1 capital ratio leveled at 20.1% in 2021, that is, 9.4 p.p. above the regulatory requirements (the highest surplus among all banks in Poland).

Dividend:

The bank distributes a majority of its profit to its shareholders on a regular basis, and such profit distribution is approved by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority only for banks with the most stable market position (only 4 banks were allowed to distribute up to 100% of 2021 profit as dividend, including Citi Handlowy).

Credit Rating:

The international Fitch Ratings agency assigned a long-term rating of “A-” to the bank, which is one of the highest grades specifying the ability of an institution to meet its obligations.

Liquidity Structure:

Citi Handlowy has high liquidity – its loan-to-deposit ratio stood at 50% as at the end of 2021, which indicates that the bank’s liquidity is much higher than that of the sector (79%).
