IT for SHE is an exceptional program which aims to increase the participation of women in the high tech industry, by helping talented female students of IT faculties in entering the labor market. This project has a real chance to contribute to a qualitative change in this regard thanks to active cooperation of partners.

The main elements of the program are:

  • the largest in Europe "Women in Tech Camp" for IT girls
  • Mentoring Program run by representatives of the best technology companies in Poland
  • Voluntary Campaign encouraging women to learn programming, directed primarily to residents of small towns.

Recruitment to the mentoring program starts already on March 8. We invite students and graduates of faculties of Polish technical universities and the IT departments of universities. You can select a mentor and register on: www.itforshe.pl. During the program there will be an opportunity to develop skills in the field of: programming, new technologies, project management, career planning and leadership. It will be unique, individual relationship with high profile experts of the top IT companies.

In the summer we will invite female students of IT faculties to the volunteer program - they will go to small villages and teach programming and technological knowledge in schools. In September we will invite 120 girls from the entire Poland, to 4-day, full of inspiration, activities and networking "Women in Tech Camp".

Why?

"IT for SHE" is a systemic, long-term action. It involves excellent partners who believe in the need to mobilize the potential of women in IT, and who care about the future of the labor market in the area of new technologies in Poland and in the world.

In Poland, only 13% of IT students are women. There are fewer women in technology companies. It is estimated that the shortage of specialists in the field of new technologies will be 50 000 in Poland, and 1 million in Europe until 2020.

It's time to take care of wise use of the potential of talented and ambitious young women for the economic development of Poland, Europe and world.

Because they will create the future of new technologies.
